HALIRU E. GARUBA
HALIRU E. GARUBA, is a Junior Partner and the Deputy Head of Chambers of the firm. He obtained his LL.B (Hons.) with First Class from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2017.
He afterwards obtained an LL.M in Corporate Law from the prestigious University College, London (UCL) in 2018. He has experience advising clients including Corporates, Borrowers, Project Sponsors, Banks and other Financial Institutions on diverse transactions including but not limited to Finance (Corporate, Leveraged and Structured), Projects and Infrastructure Finance, International Capital Market Issuances, Mergers & Acquisition and Syndicated Lending.
Prior to joining Zacks Garuba & Co, he was an Associate in the Banking & Finance and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups at Templars, a leading Nigerian Law Firm where he was a major part of teams that advised on some of the most complex and groundbreaking transactions in the Nigerian commercial sphere.
He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK.
