curated toward achieving our
goals and objectives.
These have been classified into
medium and long term programs.

food_box

Medium Term Program :- Food Box Project

which aims at providing food stuff for beneficiaries on a monthly basis while connecting them to income generating activities. Each beneficiary is expected to go through the program for a maximum of one year.

Overview

The “Food Box Project” is a food donation project that aims to feed the hungry, destitute, and poor living within the country beginning with the Federal Capital Territory to help change these people’s lives for a better tomorrow. Free foodstuff would be delivered bi-weekly in the form of pre-packed boxes on Saturday to beneficiaries. This packages is expected to last a minimum of two weeks, depending on the size of the family.

Objectives

  • To provide food in the form of food boxes to feed the hungry, destitute, and poor with the hope that it may somehow ease their burden and help change their lives for a better tomorrow.
  • To act as a platform for members of the public who are interested in food donation charity project to participate along as volunteers and donors.

Activities

  • Sourcing of funds and collection of food items for donation.
  • Identification and verification of beneficiaries
  • Disbursement of items to beneficiaries
  • Monitoring and evaluating progress of beneficiaries.

Steps Of Execution

Beneficiary Identification:
Abuja, is divided into three phases, five suburban districts and satellite settlements. The team has identified communities within Abuja. The community leaders would indicate the individuals who are fit to be beneficiaries of the program. Such individuals would be vetted and added to our database to track progress and growth

Implementation:
Feed Me Foundation will focus on establishing a network with retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, organizations and well-meaning individuals to the project and establish a food bank.

Donations –Food, Cash & Kind:
Donations would be welcomed through food, cash and kind. Food donations would be picked up or can be dropped at designated drop-off points. All cash donations would be received through the foundation official bank accounts. Other donations include volunteering amongst others.

Regulatory Consideration:
Feed Me Foundation is duly registered and would ensure that all items disbursed are at optimum conditions and hygienically sourced.

food_kitchen

Long Term Program :- Food Kitchen.

This can be likened to a soup kitchen which is a physical location setup to provide meals daily to the less privileged.

Overview

The Food Kitchen will provide food on an daily basis to individuals that are hungry within the target community. The foundation will generate revenues from donations, sponsorships, and enrollment in ongoing donation programs marketed to the general public

Objectives

  • To provide nutritious meals -breakfast, lunch, and dinner all year round in pre-approved locations to the poor and vulnerable
  • To engage the communities towards self sustenance
  • To raise awareness of hunger and engage volunteers in meeting needs and creating solutions

Activities

  • Solicitation and distribution of food to target community
  • Identification and verification of beneficiaries
  • Operation of farm program to enable sustainability of the food kitchen

Steps Of Execution

Beneficiary Identification:

Members of the community classified as poor and vulnerable would be registered as beneficiaries of the food kitchen and added to the database to track growth and progress.

Implementation:
Feed Me Foundation aims to establish a farm which would create employment for beneficiaries and a sustainable stream of income. Leftovers from the farm would be used to operate the food kitchen.

Donations –Food, Cash & Kind:
Donations would be welcomed through food, cash and kind. Volunteers would be highly appreciated as the food kitchen is set to run on a daily basis. Volunteers and donor partnerships would enable efficient flow of operations. All cash donations would be received through the foundation official bank accounts.

Regulatory Consideration:
The meals prepared at the food kitchen would be subjected to the strictest hygienic preparations following best practices. Nutritious meals would be served following a balanced meal timetable reviewed by nutrition experts on a bi-monthly basis.
